Financing

Don't let the fine print decide for you

Financing solar panels or a home improvement doesn't have to be a mystery. Here are the real options in Puerto Rico — no inflated rates, no monthly-payment teasers, and no commitment.

Three ways to pay for your project

We don't work for any lender. We help you compare so you can choose what's best for you.

Cooperativas (credit unions)

The local favorite, for good reason: Puerto Rico's cooperativas offer competitive rates and flexible terms, you're served by people who know the island, and the money stays in your community. If you're already a member of one, ask there first.

Bank or personal loan

Banks also finance home improvements and solar systems, through personal or secured loans. Always compare the rate, the term and the total cost over the full term — not just the monthly payment they show you.

Cash

If you can pay outright, it's the simplest option: no interest, no financing contracts, and the full savings in your pocket from month one. The federal incentive applies too.

The 30% federal incentive (ITC)

The federal government offers a 30% tax credit on the cost of a residential solar system (the Investment Tax Credit). In plain words: part of what you invest in panels and batteries can come back to you as a credit on your federal taxes.

It's not an automatic check or a discount at purchase: it's a credit you claim when filing your taxes, and whether you can use it depends on your tax situation.

Talk to your tax specialist before counting the incentive into your numbers.

And what is net metering?

With net metering, the extra energy your panels produce during the day is sent to the grid — and credited on your power bill. At night or on cloudy days, you draw from the grid and those credits work in your favor.

It's the mechanism that makes a well-sized solar system truly lower your bill. Your proposal explains how it applies to your specific usage, with clear numbers.

We show you the TOTAL cost of the term, not just the monthly payment

The classic trap in this market is selling you a comfortable monthly payment while hiding what the system actually costs by the end of the term. We do the opposite: before you sign anything, you see the total price in writing — equipment, installation, financing and the full term. If a number doesn't add up, you ask. If it doesn't work for you, you don't sign. That simple.

Compare with real numbers, not promises

Get your free, no-obligation quote. We give you the total cost in writing so you can compare in peace — with your cooperativa, your bank, or your pillow.
